FCSM Sochaux is a French football club based in the town of Montbéliard, in the eastern region of Franche-Comté. The club was founded in 1928 and has played most of its history in the top level of French football. FCSM Sochaux is known for its academy, which has produced a number of top players over the years, including World Cup winners Lucien Laurent, Roger Courtois, and Florian Thauvin.
